Music Development Plan
At Stoneraise School, music has been a heartbeat of our community for many years. As one of our core strengths, music provides a vital platform for our children to express themselves, building the confidence and creativity that lead to our excellent pupil outcomes. In line with our school motto, we believe in ‘living and learning together to care for each other and our world’ through the universal language of music.
To support the Department for Education’s National Plan for Music Education, we have published our Music Curriculum Development Plan below. This document outlines our commitment to providing a high-quality music education for all children across our seven classes. It provides a summary of our 'music offer'—detailing how we deliver the National Curriculum, the various opportunities for pupils to learn instruments and perform, and how we celebrate musical diversity within our rural Cumbrian setting.
